Production deployment

Hi,

I would like to know if you think that the Proxmox Virtual Environment 0.9 is all ready able to be deployed in production environment.

I would like to run about 20 containers on one box (2 x Xeon 5130 8 GB ram).

Is there any road map or open bugs?

When should be versin 1.0 released?

Hi,

Martin just released the roadmap for Proxmox VE.

Currently Proxmox VE is beta software and beta software is not intended to use in production - per definition. but there are already users out there reporting good results - but the decision is up to you,

Do you have any idea as to when the 1.0 will be released?
I really like the concept, but could do with a little more documentation (qemu-server config files etc. ;-) )

I am basically running it for "home use"; the OpenVz implementation is grrreat!, but the Kvm bit is somewhat lacking.

Hi,

KVM support in Proxmox VE will be much better in 1.0 and there will be also updates for 0.9 beta.

Release date? Good question. You can expect major improvement mid of year. I suggest you take a look on the roadmap and subscribe to the mailing list to get all info about updates.
