Problems with Proxmox backups

Hi all,
I have a problem with the backups of my virtual machine.
My unit c: \ of the virtual machine was filled to 700GB.
I deleted the files and the C: \ drive now occupies 158GB. But when I do the backup, it still occupies 700GB. How can I do so that my backup can occupy 158GB again?

I assume the Windows disk is in a qcow2 file? Than you can perform the following https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Shrink_Qcow2_Disk_Files

Hello,
I have performed the steps of the first option. And it has not worked.
What I can be doing wrong?

This relies on Windows to trigger the TRIM on the disks, so maybe check again after some time and disc IO.
