Problem with setting plex or jellyfin

Hi i am new to proxmox and to linux in general and i am trying to set up plex on hp thin client. evething is working well i can acces plex from my browser but no matter what folder i chose for media plex can't find it and can't see any wideos. I alsow tried to install jellyfin and i have the same problem. For media i have a folder that i alsow shaed in my network so i can add movies from my windows pc.

Are Plex/jellyfin running in a VM or privilehed LXC or unprivileged LXC or something else?
What is sharing those media folders (physical NAS, NAS on PVE, something else)?
How it is sharing those media folders (SMB, NFS, webdav, bind-mounts, virtfs)?

I think plex/jellyfin are running in a VM, i was instaling them using proxmox heper scripts.
The foldet that is shared is sharet from the same device that proxmox is running on and it is shared only so i can add files to it from my windows pc. It is shared using samba

No, those are LXCs and as far as I undestand the scripts they will create them as privilged LXCs. Check that the LXC got the "CIFS" feature enabled or it wont be allowed to mount SMB shares.

I have enabled "CIFS" in option in the LXC and still nothing. I alsow checked that my folders have the right permisions witch the have and i alsow noticed tha i don have a plex user but i dont know if i shoud.

Ok i have figured it out. I was setting up smb shared folder in the proxmox (via ssh) and a needet to set it up in the plex virtual mashine it self (in porxmox web browser i went to plex and then console and repeted the same steps) and now it wors.
Liek i sad at the begining i am new to all of this so i dont know if any think i wrote above makes any sense but huge thanks for your help.
