[SOLVED] Problem PCIe Passthrough M1015 / Network boot hang's up.

Re: Problem PCIe Passthrough M1015 XPEnology(Nanoboot) boot hang's up.

Okay, i resolved the Problem myself.

I had to reorder the network interfaces manualy in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules

Now everything works fine. Perhaps for somebody nice to know.

Not exactly related to what you are doing...
Do you need to install a driver for the m1015 card?

no. don't need any drivers. the modules come with the kernel. and in the vm there was a module for the m1015. (deactivated it in the host as for passthrough)

Hi i am stuck with the same problem but none of the above mentiont methodes did the trick for me.
I am running proxmox 4 with
Code:
4.4.8-1-pve
kernel, my grub config parameters are:
Code:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet intel_iommu=on"

i want to passtrough the m1015 in IT mode with boot rom (i cant disable it trough the configuration) to a openmediavault/debian vm
my qemu config file ist:
Code:
hostpci0: 04:00.0,pcie=1
machine: q35

i tried it with blackisting the mpt2sas module and rombar=off but it didnt work, also if rombar=off is enabled the pcie card doesnt show up in the vm
