Hello all forgive me if this has been answered. I intend to setup a test pbs for my lab system. i have built a physical backup server locally and it is working fine. I want to move it to another site that i own and connect it via vpn back to the lab. My concern is that my vpn network uses a different subnet. Can i simply enter the new pbs address on my proxmox server and carry on or will this effect the already existing backups in some way. Maybe an error with the database or security implemented withing the pbs. This is not a production system it is only where i try new scripts and and ideas. total loss is not an issue.

thanks

no, that should not be a problem. you obviously need to adapt the network config on the PBS side, and the clients/PVE hosts configuration if they referenced the old IP, but besides that it should "just work".
