Pentest using proxmox

Hello, I have a question on proxmox setup for pentest, i have a setup created in vistualbox, but since i put together a betters server system for testing with proxmox wanted to know if I can do more complex testing for cybersecurity on it, wanted to get more ideas of this project, thanks

what are you thinking of exactly?

it is quite possible to set up a lab environment for pentest practice, and you can do basically everything you want as long as you can configure it. with our GUI and documentation it shouldn't be too hard.

I was thinking of creating a LAB environment with proxmox platform, but I noticed is very unstable, the VM's run so slow, not like my lab in Virtualbox that runs smooth and fast, I mean I have plenty of memory and core available t run proxmox , but its frustrating that just created one Linux VM and system runs very slow, does not have any issues in my FreeNAS VM's or my XCP NG XenServer, so I don't want to spend ao much time setting up proxmos and have not reached the goals i want to

This is unfortunate, but without detailed information about your setup we will not be able to help you. A start would be the output of qm config <VMID> and cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg.

To underpin what @oguz said: There are people who successfully use Proxmox VE to do penetration testing every day in their job. The stability and speed of Proxmox VE are proven by many other projects, too.
