Anyone yet embrace/test tape backup yet?

I have a Scalar i500 with a lto4 drive I'm going to give it a shot with

But did not see any postings here yet, or maybe I missed them..

Not yet released, as soon as available we will announce it in this forum.

You can expect a first technology preview for testing quite soon.

Yikes, thought it was. I have it enabled. Somewhere in the PBS info for 1.0-9 there was information about "touch tape.cfg"

I was not expecting much, was able to add drive and library, and thats about its, stuck on inventory.

should be fixed by:

> chmod +x /var/lib/proxmox-backup/tape/

I found it in the changelog, that might do it too. But they indicated a permission change on that folder

The usual tape routine, erasing the old tapes tapes and redoing barcode info (old bareos tapes). Got enough to mess with, a few problems have cropped up but I can wait a bit till your ready

After a few weeks tinkering between putting out other fires I have finally achieved what appears on the surface a workable library and backup task.

Most all if not all caveats I feel into where working with older hardware that had been tasked with working with Backup Exec and Bareos.

Factory reset library firmware was my biggest fix for my issues so far, and maybe some of it was the 1.0-12 release.
