pbs and cluster configuration

I have a cluster of 3 machines. One is offline, 2 remain, and the cluster configuration went bust, and since I cannot format these machines, I cannot recreate a new cluster config

One thing I did before the cluster config went bust - is to configure PBS and performed some backups. All went well.

My question: Now that there is no cluster config, will PBS keep running and backup the LXC/VM's on those nodes? (I see the pbs on the storage in both those nodes and I see the previous backups)

What dors “went bust” and “no cluster config” mean? A cluster should work fine with 2/3 nodes.

Is PBS a separate server?

Yes, but something went wrong with my experiments and the configuration was damaged, so I decided to remove the cluster config so at least I can keep using the nodes to run LXC/VMs..
Is PBS a separate server?
Yes, it's running on a QNAP NAS as a VM.

Boy, that's a bit to unpack.

Did you get the hosts working again by removing the corosync data as indicated here?
If not, these hosts are save-able. Read this. Adapt it to your situation.

And then ... backups ... um ... see PBS doesn't actually do the backups.
PBS is a smart backup target that does dedupe and data maintenance.
It does not back anything up.
So if PBS is still standing,
and if your PVE hosts are sufficiently operational for the cron to trigger the previously configured vzdump job,
then yes. Your backups should be going to the PBS.
Why don't you go check?
