Pass disk to guest

Is there a way to pass disks from Central storage directly to a guest and still maintain HA? Seems like the only option is to give each disk to LVM then to the guest but it would be great to avoid that layer if possible.

My gut is telling me no, but I figured it was worth asking.

Major bummer for us guys who are rolling central storage, this should be doable. Appreciate the input!

It is not doable. At my work we have VmWare 5.5 and a 250,000$ EMC SAN. Believe me if it was doable we would have direct attached storage and HA since our 16 MSSQL server cluster desperately need IO but even VmWare and EMC is not able to deliver that (we have consulted 500$ a hour EMC and VmWare specialists)
