I've succesfully transferred Windows Server 2000-2003 systems in the past, that did not utilize UEFI for boot. Cloned them with VMWare vconverter standalone, transfer the vmdk resulting content to my PVE LVM-based storage and presto.

Now, I'm facing a similar scenario, in which I've been given two VMDK files, resulting from a vconverter conversion. These two files correspond to the two 300Gb disks of the original system.

EDIT: I've used qemu-img dd to convert the VMDK files to two thin lvm partitions.

I do not know how to proceed from here. I've converted the BIOS to the UEFI one, but this action resulted a mesage asking me to use a EFI disk. How do I proceed from here?

Strike that out, I did not have to use a UEFI BIOS at all. Everything worked with the default SeaBIOS. :)
