hello,

after the latest update of pve and pve cluster openvswitch is not working anmyore.

Regards,

Afox

pls post the output of:

> pveversion -v

this is a known issue and already fixed with latest kernel:

pve-kernel-2.6.32-41-pve: 2.6.32-162

upgrade and test again.

the problem occurs with Version 2.6.32-41 of pve-kernel. in Version 2.6.32-40 it is working. As fast fix we loaded the older kernel.

Regards,

Afox

you tried:

Code:
[COLOR=#333333]pve-kernel-2.6.32-41-pve: 2.6.32-161[/COLOR]

but I told you to run instead the latest kernel:

Code:
[COLOR=#333333]pve-kernel-2.6.32-41-pve: 2.6.32-162[/COLOR]

oh sorry i was confused about that Versions. now it works fine again :) thanks for all your good work!

Edit: is there any changelog where I can find the changes before updating?

hello, thank you. unfortunately there is another bug that seems to be coming from openvswitch. we checked every possibility and come to the result that since updating proxmox kernel from version 40 latest to 41 latest there is no more internal connection possible any more. pinging one CT to another on the same node fails. config didn´t change. virtual ethernet devices don´t receive any package from the openvswitch.

we changed back to the latest 2.6.32-40 and everything was fine again.

Afox

hello, thanks for your reply. if the things you named are missing, how do you explain that it works with an older kernel version?

I cannot explain why something is working but you badly need to do some reading cause you have completely misconfigured your network.

Guess I'm missing it too.

Checking wiki, need to work on this one a bit

i don´t get it now. is this a bug or a misconfiguration?

Well at least it caused me to learn more about OVS, Poked around trying different changes but still was unable to get results.

Hope this new kernel does the trick ;)

---------------

We're good it seems on the new kernel, but mir is making me read !!
