Hello everyone,

I have successfully pass through the RTX2080Ti to Windows11 and Archlinux according to the community post. But when I connect an external monitor, I find that only HDMI is supported, not DP, for both Windows and Archlinux.

Can anyone suggest any other solutions or workarounds for this issue? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,
I have the same problem with my alderlake gpu in a Miniforums NAB6. I only get Output from my VM over HDMI (and only in one the two plugs) but not with USB-C.

Xrandr shows
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1200, maximum 16384 x 16384 DP-1 disconnected primary (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) HDMI-1 connected 1920x1200+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 301mm x 188mm 1920x1200 60.00*+ 60.00 1920x1080 60.00 59.94

The USB-C connection is working on the host device, so the cable seems to be fine. I rebooted multiple times with cable attachted and not.

Finally I only want to attach only one cable (including power delivery).

Anybody an idea?

Just after writing (and a long 2 week journey with googeling) I've found the solution.

I had to supply rom files for the gpu and the audio interface and had to set some parameter.
I found the romfiles at https://github.com/gangqizai/igd
my guest config shows now

Code:
args: -set device.hostpci0.x-igd-opregion=on

bios: ovmf

Now I see all video outputs in my virtual machine. Maybe it'll will also help. me with my Win11 problem (Error 43)....

Hope this helps...
