We are planning to use Proxmox hypervisor OS to our environment and we want to take suitable subscription plane for our requirement.

But our requirement is Proxmox servers will not connect to internet but we want the offline update, whenever Proxmox will release updates for hypervisor. So we can update our environment offline and secure our environment.

Above is the our requirement can you help I am going to do POC on this for our requirement and same we will provide to our customers.

Hi,

there may be multiple ways to update proxmox servers without a (direct) internet-connection.
1. You can download and mount the newest proxmox .iso image as a package repository (See here ) but if you run multiple servers, this could be time consuming.
2. Use a server running AptCacher or a full Debian and/or Proxmox Mirror: First you would update your mirror server over the Internet, then cut the internet connection and check the server for malware. After you are sure enough your mirrorserver is clean you can expose it to your proxmox servers and do the updates.
3. Maybe if your security policies allow it, cut the internet access for your proxmox servers with some firewall rules and only allow access to the mirror server and keep the mirror server connected to the internet.

have a nice day,
Peter

We are already working on an easy to use offline update/activation tool.
