Hello,

as i start studying virtualization in proxmox, i try reading as much doc as possible but, each time, i don't find some infos and need to bother ppl here :p

I have a dual core Xeon = 2 cpu recognized by Proxmox.

I created a linux guest (KVM) in which 1 CPU is allocated.

But after reading that : http://forum.ovh.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2082

I don't understand what is meant by : "the number of cpu is the emulated one and not the real ones"... i can imagine the emulation concept, but physically (cpu resources), i need some explanations...

In other words : if someone has a link to documentation about resources allocations in VE, i'll be happy to read it instead bothering you :p

Thanks.

P.S. : it remembers me a previous post that i can't retrieve about "memory over*****ing" (don't remember exact term)
