Regarding the future, to cater for all users needs but without multiple notification methods becoming a development burden... would integrating something like apprise be considered by Proxmox staff?

As for the now, I was looking at trying to use the method in this thread to get some non-email based notifications:

however there isn't a .forward file in /root/ - or any other files in that directory. Can anyone kindly point to where it is located in the current version of Proxmox (7.3)?
