Not to run any VM until the backup job is completed

I have 2 VMs scheduled for a backup job in Stop Mode and I want not to run any of them while the backup job is still running. I think I have to play around the scripts, but cannot find a good way to start.

You could use a vzdump hook script and let that script shutdown the VMs ("qm shutdown ...") in the "job-init" phase when the job starts and start them again ("qm start ...") in the "job-end/job-abort" phase when the backup job finishes.
