NO update (Not found 404)

communication failure (0)

but i think 0.8.9 should be out

Sorry, yes done like that and done a reboot too!

Now on the Dashboard Datastore Usage place i got a

Bad Request (400)
unable to open chunk store 'vPBS01' at "/vPBS01/.chunks" - No such file or directory (os error 2)

and also after the reboot the backup will not work anymore
in pve with error

TASK ERROR: could not get storage information for 'vPBS01-scsi2': proxmox-backup-client failed: Error: unable to open chunk store 'vPBS01-scsi2' at "/vPBS01-scsi2/.chunks" - No such file or directory (os error 2)

happens on the backupserver itself

it is missing a
/.chunks

and remote it is missing the same file

yeah that means that your datastore is either not mounted or not accessible anymore...
This is a configuration issue, not a bug.

got it faster to purge the Virtuell PBS and rebuild it ;-)

but after 1 day again chunks error, and no backup did run since last night. So i am sure the Disk was not Full ore something like that

Seems your (remote?) storage is not working, check why. As it happens again, its looks (very) unreliable.

Hello @tom

This error is also on the PBS itself. And why something happens if it is not used.
Yes it is "only" a Virtuell BPS" but it should not get a error like this - just doing nothing - just be a running VM like others!

But yes then - from Remote, it means from PVE, it is not reachable anymore.

and how to fix this missing /.chunks

Please tell us which kind of storage do you use/mount on /vPBS01-scsi2/

As it fails again, seems it not reliable.
You have to use very reliable storage for your backups.

If you loose your chunks, you have to create your datastore again (but NOT on the unreliable /vPBS01-scsi2/ ...)

on my Proxmox Node with 4 x 6TB Disk with Raidz2, i have a VM with PBS installed (there are some more VMs too but they are more for file sharing).
the /vPBS01-scsi2/ is a added Disk from the local-ZFS with 500Gig the other one is the same added Disk of 750Gig.

It is no problem to to delet it and set it up again, but would be more nice to do some magic to get the missing /.chunks back!
