Brand new install with the latest v. of proxmox.
Ran through the installer with my Ethernet cable plugged in.

Country: US
TZ: United/Chig
--next--
Hostname: pve.local.srv
IP Adress: 192.168.0.100 (yes im sure this is within my current dhcp range)
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gatway: 192.168.0.1 <router
DNS: 192.168.0.1
--install--
Installation Successful (no errors click reboot)

Wait for my pc to reboot then remove flashdrive.
Pc reboots, I select promox v environment.
Loads up greens ok across the screen
"Welcome to etc etc etc
https://192.168.0.100:8006/
pve login:

Try and login and get

"This site can’t be reached

192.168.0.100
took too long to respond."

See pictures attached for console info.

Anyone got any ideas? I'v completely reinstalled windows 10, disabled every firewall network/av/ on pc and router
I know its connected can see the green on the back of the nic.

Hi,
your browser error in the jpeg is from the wrong input before...

can you ping your pve-host?

Clear browser cache?

Perhaps the same like this:

hi,
glad you figured it out.
But beware: you put the pve host on ip x.x.x.100 which is inside your dhcp range.
Do not do this. Sometime in the future the router will give this .100 address to a new client (especially since it's the first in the range)
and then you can not reach your pve host.
you can change the dhcp range to begin at .101, or assign the ip statically in the router.

Will this not work?

and is this the same process to add more space via externals and other internal hdds? https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Extending_Local_Container_Storage

Or is there an easier way.

Thanks for the info
