No serial connection to KVM

Hello,

I have deployed recently a new KVM machine under proxmox 3. I tried every tutorial to enable serial connections via qm start 100 , this does not work. Any workaround? I also changed the grub and rebooted, still nothing helped.

Did you follow the official tutorial ? https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Serial_Terminal
Also the command to get to the serial lterminal is "qm terminal".

Yes I did followed the guide, and I did not managed to make it work.

Can you post the ouput of:
inside the vm:
dmesg | grep tty

on the proxmox host:
what is the ouput of the troubleshootings commands from https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Serial_Terminal ?

Hi Manu,

Now it seems to work again after a reboot and after a few updates on server side.

Thanks for the info. One thing I noticed that after qm terminal 100 it remains on the message to connect, and when pressing Enter it gets to login screen. Maybe some delay something here I do not know. Problem solved.
