Just installed the Beta2 update. 2.0/784729f4 downloaded yesterday.

Noticed after installation it says to reboot then log onto the following IP address... but it doesn't give the IP address. Once it reboots it does display an https: address.

Noticed I can't add my NFS storage device. If I select Storage then Add, then NFS Share, nothing happens.

Like the ability to access the shell from the GUI. Was just writing a note that I thought there should be one when I found it. Good job!

Hi,
looks like you don't provide a right network-config during installation (dhcp is not an good choice).

To change you must have basic knowledge of an editor like vi (/etc/network/interfaces must have the right entrys).

I only used dhcp because this is a test box. What network configuration do you think wasn't right (other than you would have preferred a fixed IP)? Why would dhcp prevent the unit from seeing an NFS share? The box has a valid IP address and I can access the GUI with that address just fine. It just won't do anything when I try to add an NFS share.

you need a fixed i/p address .

As Udo said, edit /etc/interfaces or if that seems hard, re install which is easy anyways.

where do I run the aptitude command from? When I try it at a # prompt it comes back with an unknown command error.

#try this to start:

aptitude update

#then if no error
aptitude full-upgrade

# if error
copy and paste the result
