NFS Share doesn't work

I tried to make a NFS share with my TrueNAS Server but this error keeps showing on the screen.

You probably need to fix permissions or alternatively map the user to root.

I wanted to use SMB share but it didn't work

It shows that it made backups but, when I click on the log of the backup it is stuck at the first sync

Basically it doesn't work correctly can I do it with SMB share

You can connect either an NFS share or a SMB share to Proxmox. I have done it both ways. With SMB, you need to have the user and password information for an authorized user on the SMB share that you enter into the Proxmox configuration. SMB handles security with with defined users and passwords. NFS handles security through IP addresses. In either case, you need to focus on the TrueNAS server configuration if it is not working correctly

I really don't think it matters. SMB may be a bit easier. But I am not a TrueNAS expert. I do more with Synology and Open Media Vault, and I tend to favor NFS.
