[SOLVED] Nested Virtualization: Guest Agent for VMware ESXi?

I've created an ESXi 8 guest inside of PVE 8. And I have two questions:

1. Is there a guest agent that's capable of running on the ESXi guest?
2. Should the "QEMU Guest Agent" option be enabled in the VM's system tab?

I dont think anyone implemented a QEMU guest agent for ESXi. Hence, there is no benefit to enabling "guest agent" option for the VM.

guest agent, as the term implies, applies to the guest. Since you have a debian guest in an esxi hypervisor, you can install open-vm-tools on your proxmox vm. they will be detected automatically by the host.
