Namespaces, Dirty-Bitmap and remote sync

Hello

I am trying to sync only the last 7 backups to another server, it "works" using namespaces but that workaround creates new issues,
that backuping to two namespaces does not recognize the dirty-bit and recreates it all the time.

It is fine for small vm but for huge vm this is pretty unacceptable .

Also copying and moving backups between namespaces should be implemented!!

Is there any other solution, it would a LOT nicer if you can just sync the last xx backups with the sync function.

There is a patch [1] on the mailing list that got recently merged, which implements the exact functionality you are looking for. It should be included in the next release.

it actually is included in PBS 2.4.2-1, which is already available in all PBS repositories

Is there an option to send an email when a sync job finishes?

yes and yes (Datastore -> Options on the GUI - it's per type of job though, not per job).
