mysql installation in lxc container failed

kernel: pve-kernel-5.15.39-2-pve , which is available on pvetest comes with ZFS 2.1.5

would be grateful for feedback if it indeed fixes the issue

I also can confirm that my mysql upgrade problem seems to be fixed by upgrading to this kernel first.

After I upgraded I had to completely purge mysql as well as all /var/lib/mysql* dir. Once I did a clean install everything worked.

If you are running a production environment, make backups, purge, install, restore.

Registered just to say the mysql/apparmor/ZFS? issue has been eating my lunch.

But added the test repo, installed the kernel version mentioned above (I was on 5.15.30) and rebooted and was able to install mysql on an unprivileged/nested lxc container (Ubuntu 22.04) with no issues. Happy days! Thanks!

This is half a year ago. You do not need the pvetest repository anymore. Better to remove it again and simply update your PVE-host normally. See here: [1] how to.
