I have the following setting:

Interface configuration

InterfaceActivePorts/SlavesAutostartIP AddressSubnet MaskGateway
vmbr0 yes eth0 94.10x.yyy.2 255.255.255.252
vmbr1 yes eth1 193.18x.yyy.1 35255.255.254.0
vmbr2 yes eth2 94.10x.yyy.34 255.255.255.224 94.10x.yyy.33

but I can't see nics eth1 and eth2 on shell (only eth0) - why?

(gateway not necessary) cause cant reach eth1 and eth2 from outside ... - only eth0 is visible and can ping only eth0. why eth1 and eth2 did not work? (need no gate on eth1 cause bgp)

Hi,
it looks like, that the driver isn't loaded for the nics eth1+.
Or they are renamed from udev - look in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules

look with lspci and dmesg - perhaps you see a hint.

Udo

Hi Udo!

I can see traffic on both nics ...

so I think ... when I can see traffic, it should work :)

But I can't see it in ifconfig ...

anything seems to be wrong, but I am not sure what ...

Hi Nemesiz. I am sorry - I have 3 nics inside this computer.

Every nic is connected to a seperate network.

The traffic for every nic can be seen with tcpdump -i <vmbr ....>

Additional I have 3 bridges on eth0 :)

Please give us more details:

#brctl show

Sorry - forgot - I have connected each of these networks to a seperate NIC (connected to 3 networks).

eth0 and eth1 are bgp and eth2 is simple ipv4

Yesterday I updated to latest release of proxmox.

Now suddenly my server goes down. I created a VM (KVM). It works for about 30 min. now suddenly whole engine is unreachable.

If you issue this command:

#lspci | grep -i ethernet

You should see all NIC plugged to your server. Then with

#mii-tool

You should see all port that are up...

Hope this can help...
