Hi all,
I have server with Proxmox 3.4 with OpenVZ Containers, the large Containers can be 400GB and even 600GB each.
now, I have new server with Proxmox 5.0 and LXC support, now I created backup files for the OpenVZ Containers, but I can't move this file to dump directory since it's limit to 94GB as "local" storage
and I don't want to move the files to external nfs and than pull it from the nfs since it's take too long and the container backup file start to be not up-to date.

anyway, there is any option to copy from Proxmox 3.x directly to the large local-lvm folder?
any other solution for moving big containers from 3.x with minimum downtime and data sync

all the best,

Backups can be stored on any configured directory storage, it needs to have the backup type active. So you could backup onto a NFS share that is exported on the new PVE5 server. Another option is to restore from the backup and then sync the delta from the openvz to lxc through rsync.
