Dear,

I just upgraded ProxMox VE from V3.1 to V3.2 and noticed that the mouse opearation on VM console is NOT integrated any more --- it used to be fully integrated in V3.1.

With V3.2, I started the console of Windows7 and noticed that there are two mouse cursors on the Java screen. One is for VM it self and the other is for the my own PC. When I move the mouse, then these two cursors are also moved.

However, once my own PC's cursor gets out of VM console, then the mouse cursor of VM (Windows7) is freezed. This behavior blocks me to move VM cursor to the very edge of VM console (like start button of Windows7).

This problem happens with Windows7, but not Ubuntu14.04 guest. The VMs of Windows7 and Ubuntu have been around for more than one year (running on V3.1).

I am just curious that anyone has encountered this problem and hopefully found a work around???

:D:confused:

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your prompt reply -- I have checked this option and confirmed that it is already enabled.
However the mouse cursor of VM console is still separated from the original cursor and the problem is not fixed yet.

Any advice or suggestion would be appreciated!

Hi,

tablet option need to be enabled (check in vm options), to have accurate pointer precision

Also, if you have enabled spice, this disable the tablet option because of incompatibility.

pls post your VM config.

> qm config VMID

Dear Sir,

Folloing is an output from "qm config VMID";
Best regards

should work, try the following:

- power off your windows VM
- start in safe-mode
- reboot

I was just wondering whether VGA mode is related to this problem.
So, I changed this option to various mode, including DEFAULT, STANDARD, VMWARE, CIRRUS LOGIC, etc...
None of these trial fixed the problem.

FYI, this problem happened after upgrading to V3.2 from V3.1.

Regards

Not sure it's related,

but why do you have:

vga: vmware

?

(migration from old vmware server ? if yes, do you have un-installed vmware tools ?)

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your kind advice.
I have turned off Windows7, then started with SAFE mode.
Then I rebooted Windows7 again and activated with Normal mode.

This operation eliminated the problem!

Best Regards!
