Hi Dietmar,

it seems, that both are runnung the same version:

root@pve1:~# kvm --version
QEMU emulator version 1.4.2, Copyright (c) 2003-2008 Fabrice Bellard

root@pve3:~# kvm --version
QEMU emulator version 1.4.2, Copyright (c) 2003-2008 Fabrice Bellard

Thank you for your fast answer ... :)

Could it be caused by a proxmox upgrade in combination with a VM not being restarted so the VM in question is still running with the old KVM?

No, the code parses the output of 'kvm --help' directly.
