Hello experts,
I am currently trying to migrate a couple windows and centos VMs from my xenhost into proxmox.
I have managed to copy over an lv and add it to the pve vg. Editing the tags gets my lv listed under: lvm group storage>content>images but unfortunately not under the hardware tab of a vm as an unused disk, which i assume from this guide it's supposed to be.
"5.- Now, using Proxmox Web Admin, we can delete the disks from the "old VM" and on the new one, we'll have the disks as "unused", so we can add them."
Now I'm guessing that it wont list under the VM i have created in proxmox b/c the configuration doesn't match up quite right; assuming this is the case, how can i create a vm and then later import the lv disk? Or, can I create a vm using the lv disk?
Or is it possible I'm missing a crucial step in converting the lv from xen -> kvm?
I'd be happy with any help you can provide, and will ofc provide whatever outputs will help you. Thank you!
