Hi all,

i attempt to understand what append in a proxmox cluster if the master node fail.
what is the impact for the slave node ?
all will be broken or just the administration task frozen ?

We plan to migrate from our 10 Xen node (running on centos 5.5) to proxmox and we would understand if the master node in proxmos is a SPOF

Thanks for your help

Hi,
thanks for your quick reply !!!

Reading the roadmap, it seems very inetresting new features in the version 2.

Another questions :

We plan to use LVM backend for storage on multipathed SAN FC and we ask if we can migrate/update our 1.7 installation to the 2 version when it will be out.

we plan to use massively kvm and i see lot of people use proxmox with openvz. Is proxmox the good choice for only KVM virtualization ?

we will provide a supported upgrade path to 2.0 and yes, Proxmox VE is not only a good choice for KVM only, its the best choice :-)

I can confirm this. I'm running several Win32 and Linux guests for months now, no problem :)
No hosts crash, no storage failure, nada ! :)
