Bonjour,

in order to reduce the number of connexion to URIBL, i want to quarantaine/drop some emails which i know are spam, before sending the request to spamassassin.

I create a rule in priority 97 with :

Action :
- modify the subject for knowing if the rule work ( with something i can recognize)
- quarantine --> to put directly the mail in quarantaine ( like that i know is was filter )

what objects : the mails i know for sur are spam.

it works : i have the email in the quarantaine with the suject modified.

But in quarantaine box, the mail have a spamscore, so i presume, spamasssin still do something to it ?

or maybe not?

Do i have to block the email instead of quarantine ?

The rulesystem evaluates the objects in the following order:
* What (this includes the mail being scanned for spam), when, From
* To
* then the actions are applied

so it's not possible to "short-circuit" mails from being scanned by SpamAssassin in the rulesystem
(you might create a custom spamassassin config for this)

Make sure you have configured some dnsbl_sites in postfix - as this usually reduces the amount of mails handled by the rule-system significantly

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the answer?

After analysis, it seems that with this config, SpamAssassin is still uses, but i have to trace that URIBL is contacted, so it seems good
