Machine won't boot

I followed the instructions at https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_11_Bullseye to add proxmox to an existing Debian machine. Since I had recently upgraded this machine from Bullseye to Bookworm, I replaced all mention of Bullseye with Bookworm, and installed pve-kernel-6.2 instead of 5.15. Everything worked great until I went to remove the old kernel per the directions, then everything went to crap. I rebooted the machine right before
Bash:
apt remove linux-image-amd64 'linux-image-5.10*'
and all was good. Then I rebooted again after update-grub and now the machine won't boot. The console says something about network.service can't start. I'm attaching a screenshot of the console

Do you have other options in your bootloader to potentially boot? What happens if you just wait a while?
Will your system boot without networking?

You can try if it starts if you detach the network cable
Otherwise you will have to boot your system with a life system and chroot into. Do you need help with that?

This is a hosted system, in a data center in Germany, and removing the network cable isn't a simple thing to do. I don't understand what you mean by "boot your system with a life system and chroot into". I can boot the system into a rescue shell, where is PXE boots a limited OS and then you can mount the disk into this rescue shell and do stuff.

Looks like a buddy of mine I asked to look into this for me was able to get the system back up, now he's working on getting Proxmox working again, apparently, the installation corrupted somehow through all of this. But like I said on the positive front, the at least the system is now working again as it did before:):D
