I wonder if someone already got experience with these SATA DOMs. Specs looks ok, also price point is ok (€ 50 for 32 GB)

I am looking for a small SSD disk for the Proxmox VE base installation (no VM´s and no containers on this disk), so 32 GB should be enough.

I am thinking of a (demo) setup with a few 1U servers (supermicro X10SLM+-LN4F, CSE-512L-260B, Intel E3-1220v3 Haswell, 32 GB ecc ram).
By using a SATA DOM like this for the OS, I can connect additionally high performance 4 x 2,5" SSD drives for storage, all this inside a short rack 1U.

Any thoughts or other recommendations?

If it is only for proxmox base and no CT's and VM's I would think 4 or 8 GB should be sufficient. A full proxmox base is max 3 GB. Of course if you also wants swap on this disk a 16 GB should be enough. 8-12 GB swap and 4-8 GB for the base.
