Hi all,

I finally succeeded installing mac os as a guest on my remote proxmox server.

One of the problems I have having now is that performance is very slow (and CPU load is very low).

Performance is low if I use Proxmox console as well as going through Screen Sharing and VNC client. I don't think it is a hardware issue, windows 10 guest on the same proxmox server is really fast.

Any idea what I should do to start identifying the issue / fixing it ?

Thank you very much for your help

There is nothing you can do about that. Please use virtualization software that targets MacOS guests like VirtualBox, Parallels and VMware Fusion (all on MacOS hardware).

Neither Proxmox VE nor the underlying technologies like QEMU/KVM are able to provide proper guest integration for MacOS. Emulation technically works, but that's all - no performance tweaks. I use it to compile MacOS binaries in a CI environment and for that the performance is OK.

In my opinion Proxmox VE is the best linux environment to have a fully and accelerated system with OSX also using the latest AMD TRX4 chip
