Hi,

I was testing PVE 4 on a workstation with ZFS. After testing for a couple of months I was ready to move to my main server where I just installed 4.3.
The plan was simply to restore the LXC backups on the new server, not so fast...
Some of my containers hang on restore, they start writing the data but never finish.
I see it creates the zfs share, starts writing to it... Then nothing...
I tried manually running the "tar" command with "--verbose" to see what was going on.
I think I found the error, it's somehow hanging on this file, TAR keeps saying this error over and over...

"tar: ./etc/vzdump/pct.conf: skipping existing file"

I'm not sure what to do next, I tried archiving and excluding this file.
But then on the restore server it says that the container has no config file...

Anyone have any clue on how I can move my containers to the new server ?

1st server: Virtual Environment 4.3-1
2nd server: Virtual Environment 4.3-10

Forgot to mention that removing the option "--skip-old-files" from the original Tar command worked.
But I don't know how this can help me, since the whole restore process is not only a simple tar command

could you attach the output of "tar tf /path/to/backup.tar" (if it does not contain anything sensitive)? with which version did you create the backups?

Sorry for the delay.
I ended up recreating new containers and rsyncing everything to the other one.
