Pages pertaining to OpenVZ should be categorised separately in the wiki instead of being deleted from it. On 2015-10-14, manual pages dedicated to OpenVZ have been deleted. They are now available from the Internet Archives but could be deleted from there as well anytime.

Pvectl manual | Qm Manual | Vzctl Manual

Some pages pertaining to PVE 1.9 and the init scripts for it are also nowhere to be found.

Third parties providing consultancy and support for Proxmox VE or merely supporting their personal installs should certainly have their own copies of the wiki atleast for private use. Before any such pages are deleted wholesale, it would be appreciated if the community is informed of it.

Anyone interested in creating static eBook of the Proxmox Wiki? Export as PDF has been removed some time ago in the official wiki.

Is there a Wiki for each major build of Proxmox maintained by community members?

some of them were duplicates, therefore they got deleted, some are outdated. you can also get the manual pages on the CLI. OpenVZ specific pages are not deleted, they are (already) marked as oldstable, e.g.

manual pages in the wiki are auto-generated, check the wiki text of a current one.

1.9 is extremely old and should not be used on any place. therefore we also removed the docs.

we inform the community about outdated and EOL. seems you missed this?
e.g. the forum for 1.x is closed and marked as EOL since a long time.

As we have rolling release policy, this looks like a challenging task.

Yes indeed it is a challenging task to support multiple versions. On the other hand, the community that has stayed on for the long run will evolve to support one another. Running any old version should best be left to those who support and use them for whatever reasons they deem fit - legacy hardware, too much data scares migration, familiarity and no learning curve, secure LAN usage, etc.
