I 'm cleaning a number of unused LXC and VM.

Silly me, in Confirm dialog box I ticked "Destroy unreferenced disks owned by guest".

Now I can't Remove the remaining LXC and VMs because the Volume Groups have been deleted!

What can I do to delete the LXC and VMs?

Your second screenshot is not showing container or VMs but Storage, am I correct in assuming that you want to delete these ?
If so go to Datacenter->Storage there you should these and also should be able to delete the unwanted.

Thanks for your reply.

I managed to remove the local Storage.

I would like to remove the LXCs (101, 102, 103). Is just removing the .conf file enough? There seems to be other files relating to those IDs scattered around the PVE directories. Which ones should I remove too?

For example, my 102 has the following files:

Code:
Code:

In General, if you want to delete a container or vm please use the GUI or the provided cli tools: qm delete and pct destroy, as those tools handle the removal of all necessary files.
I hope this answers your question.

I hit this issue after the Storage was accidentally removed... and GUI won't let me remove LXC.

thank you thank you. I hope the cli tool allows me to clear the remaining files in such circumstances.
