Live Migration & Storage Migration

Hi,

I'm facing a problem with my planed migration scenario. Just to clarify:
In case I'm using two instances VE with local storage and combine this two installations to a cluster, then - during live migration - I will proceed also a live storage migration (from the local storage of one system to the local storage of the other system).
In case I'm right, this would show me that VE is able to do a live storage migration in general (rigth? - I've nover done that)

In my scenario, I have a centralized ISCSI storage with a shared 1TB LUN for the two systems.
If I do now a live migration between my two hosts, just the memory gets migrated, since the storage is accessible from both hosts.
How can I force a live storage migration (to another LUN or another Storage Box) in such a scenario?

kind regards
Robert

Hi,

Maybe i'm wrong, but proxmox doesn't support live storage migration.

Best regards,

OpenVZ can do live-migration (storage migration) - use the 2.6.18 kernel.

if you want KVM live migration, you need SAN (NFS or iSCSI) or DRBD as a special setup.
Storage migration of local storage is not supported (but will come in future).
