Hello and of course thanks for Proxmox,
My two nodes Proxmox Cluster with many OpenVz VMs and two Windows 7 KVMs works perfectly and since two years...
Recently, a Linux KVM was "needed" so I try to create one but I must have done a so huge mistake that I can see it, so if someone can help me...

The HN concerned : only on network interface configured with a bridge vmbr0; Proxmox 1.9 is correctly updated.
The KVM concerned : a network interface with rtl8139 driver associated to vmbr0; the Linux OS is Debian 6.0.4 (minimal with X), the configuration was correctly done and I cannot ping the gateway

On the node :
Code:
# ifconfig

tap117i0d0 is the Linux KVM'one.

On the Guest, only eth0 et lo.

The Linux KVM can ping the HN and the HN can ping the Linux KVM...

My two Windows KVM works fine but the Linux one no, any idea ?

Thanks,

LT

try to find the issue with tcpdump on the host.
No tcpdump on this Debian 6 minimal and no network to install it ;-)

BTW: why do you use rtl8139? I prefer virtio for linux (or e1000) and e1000 for win.
I tried too with e1000 and nothing more, same trouble...very strange

is tap HW adress should be the same as the one declared on Proxmox ? That's not the case even for Windows guests ?
