this is almost working. the kvm boots and i can login using console.
the problem is networking .
the following was done to drbd storage

1- untar 1.9 tar file
2- check disk size
Code:
 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2.1G Oct 4 23:42 vm-disk-ide0.raw
3-make new volume group. make sure it is same size or bigger:
Code:
lvcreate -L 3G -n vm-106-disk-1 drbdvg
4- dd the old one to new
Code:
dd if=vm-disk-ide0.raw of=/dev/drbdvg/vm-106-disk-1 bs=4096k
5-copy and edit config file
Code:
cp qemu-server.conf /etc/pve/qemu-server/106.conf
6-settings i had to change. there is probably more as networking is not working.
Code:
#old:
vlan0: e1000=BA:75:D7:A9:1A:5E
ide0: replicated-drbd1:vm-106-disk-1

#new:

# to prevent vm 106 - unable to parse value of 'vlan0' - unknown setting 'vlan0' :
net0: e1000=BA:75:D7:A9:1A:5E

# and drbd storage name change:
ide0: proxdrbd:vm-106-disk-1

then start it
Code:
qm start 106
*** EHCI support is under development ***

Any suggestions to get network fixed?

Udo. - thanks for the response.
but that did not fix the network.

This kvm uses debian sarge . possibly the issue is related to sarge... But I'll check further later on.
