I have a server that does not fall to panic: Dell R210II. It differs from only R210 CPU: Xeon E31220.
 
We have 2 servers in the above configurations (dell R210-II - master, R510 - slave). We are migrating container (VPS) from 1 server to another. At the time of starting VPS on the slave server fails with kernel panic.

When we downgrade to kernel: 2.6.32-11-pve problem fixed but we want work with new kernel

What would you advise?
 
Oh no!

Error manifests itself through time. Migrate one VPS - okay, other - kernel panic :(, reboot... Migrate next VPS - okay, other - kernel panic :(.

I'm going to reinstall 10 servers to Proxmox. Migrating to me is very important :(

The Kernel Panic occurs in a different way and breaks the complete system. The Host freezes. Probably this is not directly related to this thread.
Before PVE 2.1 I've used 1.9 without any issue. Everything runs smooth and stable for months.
The hardware difference to before used 1.9 is that I've removed 4 Harddisks and an PCI RAID Controller and replaced the Harddisks by 2x2TB SATA attached to onboard controller. This runs stable as well.

I will now downgrade the kernel to pve-10.
 
Same problem here. During backup of a large VM I got a kernel panic and system freezed.

Is there a solution allready? Or is a downgrade to 10 the only option?

Hi,

I have a dell R210 too, and i have the same problem (same sort on kernel panic).

I have a two nodes install, one hp and one dell. I can do online migration from dell to hp but Not hp too dell.
- I have try to boot on -13 -12 -11 and -10 kernel and same problem.
- I have try with formatting in ext3 and not in ext4 and same problem too.
