Kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64

this does not happen on a standard ISO install. looks like you got a custom installation. this kernel is not needed, you can remove it.

post your 'pveversion -v'

Thanks, I will remove it. Yes, true, it's a custom setup. Why do I do this? Because:

- ISO requires graphical install with parameters which not always work - at least for me, I'm often forced to use a plain Debian setup ... please provide a text based installer as an option.
- The installer does not allow to create a custom partition and filesystem setup (I don't want ext4, I use XFS and I never use Open VZ, sometimes I use LVM volumes for KVM disks)

IMHO the best thing would be a (modified?) Debian standard text based installer with it's partition setup.

the ISO installer is perfect for most situations, especially for non-linux guys. for the rest, the Debian installer is the way to go.

we see no requirement to re-invent something - you suggest to use the Debian standard text based installer, and that's what we recommend here also.
