KBRD on existing ceph pool

Hi guys

We have a stable good working ceph cluster with one ceph pool where all data is on. We have a few VMs running currently on that pool.

I noticed there was an option called KBRD and noticed that on some posts on forums it states that performance can be increased in enabled KBRD on the ceph pool.

Is it safe to just edit the ceph pool via Proxmox GUI and just tick that option and save. Then obviously stop and start the VMS.

Will there be any issues?

Not that I have observed, have tested it a fair bit. Just changes the qemu arguments when starting the vm, has no effect on the actual pool.

And it made a significant difference to my io.
