Hi,
Having some lab experience with proxmox, but no experience with ceph/zfs, i would appreciate some help for my plans.
I would like to build a configuration with 2 rackservers and when there is budget, expand to 3 or 4 rack nodes in total. If I start with 2 nodes and ZFS replication, and when I have the 2 extra nodes, then switch to ceph.
I am looking at DELL R6415 . When i choose the sata/nvme chassis, There is no choice for the controller. I end up with a HBA330 controller.
As far as i have read in the forums, a HBA controller is good for CEPH/ZFS, but on which diks configuration we put proxmox OS?
Do I need to put this on a Dell BOSS controller in raid 1?
Another option is to choose the sata/sas chassis, then i can choose other controllers than HBA330, like the h330. On that controller there is a raid possibility. But is that one good for ceph?
Thank you for your insights!
appreciated,
Tom
