After I installed the new Proxmox VE 2.0 into the installation process I used localhost.localdomain as FQDN and I have got many problems

1- Apache not started and raise an issue with line 13 of config file that shows this file /etc/pve/local/pve-ssl.pem is missing
2- I can't login with the user root into the web ui I don't know why!!!!!
3- I have got some warning on and got warning with WARNING: ipcc_send_rec failed: Connection refused

After that I try to replace the localhost.localdomain name in /etc/hosts with the server real ip address vs the 127.0.0.1
I could solve the problem #1 and #3 but can't login to the server and I had to reinstall the whole server with a new FAQDN

I think it's bug into the Proxmox VE 2.0 and you shouldn't used localhost.localdomain as a FAQDN
I hope the proxmox guys solved this or made it highlight into the installation document

Have good hacking
;)

localhost.localdomain is not a FQDN and you also need to use a static IP. if you do nof follow this you will get multiple issues, but why is this is bug?

I think it should be highlight into the document at least that "DON'T USED localhost.localdomain AS FQDN"
In addition I used test1.testdomain into the secound installation and it solved I think it just have problem with localhost.localdomain and it's bug and if not it's undocumented that I don't know using localhost.localdomain as FQDN made that much trouble.

Good Luck

feel free to add this to the docs. everybody can update, its a wiki.

IMHO its enough to write whats needed and the installer asks for a FQDN, so I asume if we add everything whats not a FQDN we will end up with a lot of unneeded lines.
