I am trying to get my Proxmox VE 7.3-4 setup with iSCSI and CHAP. (Without CHAP was easy.) I have multiple iSCSI shares with different CHAP username/password combos. I see whispers that this should be possible, but nothing for multiple username/password combos. Any one have any information?

There is supposed to be an "Advanced" checkbox but I don't see one. I'm using the root login.

Native Proxmox iSCSI integration does not allow for an easy multi-CHAP setup. Your have two options:

a) manually setup iSCSI via iscsiadm on all nodes, point PVE to the LUNs and mark them shared.
b) update iscsid.conf per target and see if PVE picks those up during setup. See the "scope of settings" examples https://linux.die.net/man/5/iscsi.conf . I have not used this method, but it should work in theory.

So this seems to be missing access from vma oder qemu .... there is (seems to be ?) no means of providing chap user name and password (or even peer for mutual chap) for these user space commands. Also, the initiator name is not passed but rather contructed from defaults, and this seems to be documented nowhere (as of Proxmox 8.1).
