Is there a way to make a customization stick to individual nodes in a cluster?

I'm following this guide to allow IP rotation on my nodes - https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/postfix-mail-rotate-outgoing.53584/post-247543

However, whenever the cluster syncs. It wipes out the custom changes per node (/etc/pmg/templates/) to the master node's files.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

For example, I need each node to have different IP addresses for Postfix to bring up.

no but you can adapt your template with if/else if/else statements to print different values on e.g. different hostnames
