I have been attempting to get my networking to function correctly for the past few days.

My setup is a dedicated server through OVH. I have 1 main IP and 2 additional IP addresses with virtual MACs.

I have my main node within proxmox setup with the default eno1, eno2, and vmbr0.

eno1:
Nothing specified, all fields blank

eno2:
Nothing specified, all fields blank

vmbr0:
Ports/Slaves: eno1
CIDR XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/24 - Main Public IP
Gateway XXX.XXX.XXX.XX - Server Gateway

I have 2 LXC containers running debian. I have gone into the Network options for both of these and setup as follows. This configuration allows both to have internet access when the other is not being used. I am still new to the logic of failover IPs, however, I assume this is caused by being a failover setup.

LXC 1:
Bridge: vmbr0
MAC: OVH Assigned Virtual MAC #1
IP: XXX.XXX.XXX.151/24
Gateway: XXX.XXX.XXX.XX - Main Server Gateway

LXC 2:
Bridge: vmbr0
MAC: OVH Assigned Virtual MAC #1
IP: XXX.XXX.XXX.158/24
Gateway: XXX.XXX.XXX.XX - Main Server Gateway

I have changed the configuration to the following in attempts to setup independent IPs that can work independently. Once I set these up like this I now have no internet connection on these containers.

vmbr0:
Ports/Slaves: eno1
CIDR XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/24 - Main Public IP
Gateway XXX.XXX.XXX.XX - Server Gateway

vmbr1:
Ports/Slaves: none
CIDR XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/24 - Second Public IP
Gateway XXX.XXX.XXX.XX - Default is set from vmbr0 and will not allow me to set a gateway here.

vmbr2:
Ports/Slaves: none
CIDR XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/24 - Third Public IP
Gateway XXX.XXX.XXX.XX - Default is set from vmbr0 and will not allow me to set a gateway here.

LXC 1:
Bridge: vmbr0
MAC: OVH Assigned Virtual MAC #1
IP: XXX.XXX.XXX.151/24
Gateway: XXX.XXX.XXX.XX - Main Server Gateway

LXC 2:
Bridge: vmbr0
MAC: OVH Assigned Virtual MAC #2
IP: XXX.XXX.XXX.158/24
Gateway: XXX.XXX.XXX.XX - Main Server Gateway

I would appreciate some guidance on how to proceed.
