IP Address Issue

Hiya,
I am a complete newbie and i set up proxmox on a network via an ethernet on a dell r710 and it auto gave it the IP of 192.168.100.2 and i can not connect.

Please Help

You have to install it with a valid IP that is unused, not part of your DHCP servers IP range and part of your routers subnet. You installed it with the default 192.168.100.2/24 so only machines using IPs 192.168.100.1 to 192.168.100.255 can access it.

Please have a look at the network basics first to learn what a subnet, gateway, DNS, ... are.
