io-error coming from full drive

Hi everyone.
I have 5 VMs that all share a SSD (local-lvm).
I have obviously over-allocated the disk, as while trying to perform a file transfer (within available space), I managed to fill the disk, causing the 1st VM to have an io-error.

I am struggling to solve the issue, however, I don't know what I must do/change to free up space.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Google "trim" support for your specific VM OS and Proxmox. There are many guides on enabling and running it, if indeed that is your issue.

Are you able to provide a link to a specific site?
VM is running Windows Server 2022
Proxmox version 6.5.11-8-pve.

You should upgrade your PVE, although its not strictly required to enable more efficient disk usage
